Welcome to Food Not Bombs PDX!

We are the Portland, Oregon chapter of Food Not Bombs, a world-wide, all-volunteer movement working to divert food from capitalism's vast waste streams, and share it freely in a spirit of mutual aid. We promote and embody sustainable practices throughout our operation. Our meals and pickups are done using bikes and trailers, and we discourage single use products. Our aim is to show people how a community can come together to do things outside the capitalistic system.

All Are Welcome

We believe that barriers to access for essential needs should be as low as possible, so we have no arbitrary restrictions (such as residency, ID, or income requirements) on who can participate. Everyone is welcome at all of our food-sharing events, subject to our code of conduct.
